Richard Muncaster mapped out his professional path early on. “I’ve always loved numbers,” he says, recounting a pivotal high school business course that not only sparked an interest in the stock market but also pointed the way toward combining his mathematical savvy with an innate desire to help others. After graduating Clemson University, the Sumter native spent a decade gaining experience at a local investment firm, then launched Muncaster Financial Services in 2005. “I wrote my business plan around a philosophy that’s purely client-focused,” says Richard, whose firm offers carefully-tailored investment and financial planning options to individuals as well as investment and insurance services to small and mid-sized businesses. “As independent consultants, we have no corporate mandates on what financial products to use—we’re completely unbiased when determining how to best build each client’s plan.” Muncaster Financial’s trademark personal approach has yielded remarkable growth, all driven by referrals. Richard credits much to his fellow advisor, veteran Wall Street trader John Guarino, and long-time assistant Debbie Brown. “We work closely with our clients to design, implement and manage a clear path toward their goals coupled with continuous professional advice, support and on-going service.”
